Overview
Ku̹yi Laba was founded durring the early 14th century in winter of the year 1300, by Sharleen Glkeshëm. The establishment of Ku̹yi Laba was only bairly constructed. The sheer number of problems with its founding were enough to make several of the backers funding Ku̹yi Laba's construction back out of the project. Sharleen Glkeshëm pushed on reguardles, and Ku̹yi Laba was finished, but starts off as a terible place to live.
Ku̹yi Laba was built using the conventions of Wareneese durring the early 14th century. Naturaly, all settlmentss have their own look to them, and Ku̹yi Laba is no diffrent. The town's buildings feature waddle and daub construction with good timber frames and a stone foundation protected by thatched or shingled rooves. Most buildings with second floors are built in such a way as to overhang into the streets on the upper floors for more space, as building size seems to be the primary indicator of wealth within the community. Most buildings are not decorated with any integral features, but instead use ivy, flowers, and other natural elements in planters of on trellices to breathe life into the structure they grow upon.
Ku̹yi Laba is is constructed arround a series of spacious carved bedrock mainstreets which form concentric circles, with smaller strait roads linking the circiles to each other at varrious points. The town has a defencive wall made from querried stone. The wall is equipped with a full set of battlments but the nature of its construction methodology leaves it somewhat vulnerable to siege equipment. That said, the town is well defended against anything short of an army. Ku̹yi Laba's cost-cutting-focused defences are suffering from significent damage, so much so that examples can be pointed to no matter which section one might have within their line of site, and most of which render sections inoperable at present.
Something in your gut tells you that you may be unwelcome in Ku̹yi Laba. The town seems like it’s not showing you the side of itself it would show to others. People mostly ignore your questions. Many folks ask you to leave their establishments, even before you’ve walked inside them. You should probably listen to them, as every time you’re asked to leave the person asking you to leave has referenced the town’s patron divine in some way. The little voice in the back of your mind that tells you when you’re in danger feels like it’s just glaring at you and muttering about how stupid you are for even remaining in town.

Cultural Notes
There’s a relatively new religion in Ku̹yi Laba which is rapidly gaining power. It might be a sectarian offshoot of a major faith, the unique product of a new prophet, or an outside faith backed by wealthy and powerful foreign supporters. Depending on the demands made on believers, the new faith may be a matter of concern only to the existing clergy, or it might be a major flashpoint for conflict in the community.
Ku̹yi Laba's bank was built using a different architectural style from the rest of the town. The style used is characterized by vertical proportions, pointed arches, external buttressing, and asymmetry in the general shape of its buildings. The decorative features of the style were key, consisting of large arched windows, pointed arches, vaulted ceilings, flying buttresses, and sculptures integrated into the structure itself. Occasionally, for very important buildings, an array of sculptures or one colossal sculpture might replace the entirety of the entrance to said building.
In Ku̹yi Laba there are unidentifiable people in the fog, but it seems to be okay.

History
In time immemorial, reportedly some time during the early 2nd century, Ku̹yi Laba was attacked by soldiers from another nation, waging a greater campaign. The details of the conflict are hazy at best due to many conflicting accounts. What is known is Ku̹yi Laba lost 195 people, 309 livestock, and 96 buildings. The conflict ended after roughly 36, when members of Ku̹yi Laba's militia enacted an operation to defend a particular ruin from enemy attack. The operation was complicated by major logistical problems. The conflict ended with needing to break through the enemy's lines, which ended in a crushing defeat for Ku̹yi Laba's forces. The war is remembered in legend by Ku̹yi Laba's bards, historians, and legend keepers.
